genting visual diary: day two

DAY 2

If you haven't figured it out already, that's me and my little brother

Day 2 was mostly family time. I couldn't handle another buffet (I was thisclose to vomiting all over myself #tmi) so we decided to just walk around Genting, do some close to non-existent shopping and watch a movie!

they now have a cakes and bread store set up at the lobby of first world hotel right by the coffee shop of sorts. bought mostly bread cos that's all i could afford to eat and not throw up... so i missed out on some gorgeous and probably tasty cakes :(

the family went to catch madagascar 3 in 3D!!! it was SO GOOD! few years back, we watched madagascar 2 together. now we've got a new addition to the family (my baby sis) - but nobody was as excited as me la wtf. we "upgraded" our seats for 19RM. even my baby sis had to pay for a ticket and she's 2 >:( wtfbbq.

dad fell asleep midway cos 3d gave him a headache. my brother and i were enjoying it fully. mum gave up halfway cos my sister couldn't decide who she wanted to sit with. in the end she fell asleep -_-

little bro and i decided to go buy stuff and head back to the hotel, abandoning my mum who went to accompany dad to eat. so i sprawled across the bed reading vivi (english version, malaysia edition!!!!!!!!! I NO LONGER HAVE TO JUST LOOK AT PICTURES ILU MALAYSIA)

(which by the way featured my favourite akb48 member tomochin and model reina trindle)

new necklace that i bought..... and have worn like very little times -_-
i should really start wearing this more often.

top: dorayaki
bottom: curry chicken with sticky rice

the rice was kind of gross cos i was expecting normal yellow rice. nothing beats my mum's curry chicken but it was edible so i guess that's all that matters. even on holiday i will go on some mad hunt for curry chicken.... intervention anyone?

i would chuck days 3 and 4 together but there's like 32 pictures combined and it would be a giant clusterfuck on one post so i'll just leave it.... for the next post.

genting visual diary: day one

I've been meaning to post this months ago so I suppose I've finally crawled out of my procrastination mode (not really) and finally got round to editing pictures. So here's my visual diary from day one of our trip to Genting.

P/S. I barely took pictures on the first day - waking up at 5AM will wear anyone down, I'm sure.

view from the bus. dad managed to score us some top-decked seats so the little bro and i treated ourselves to front row

view from our hotel room

we stayed at first world hotel but our room was kind of small (albeit more spacious than the one we had a few years back) and odd shaped. and so begins a time for resting and nomming on potato buns.

the aforementioned potato bun. i was greatly disappointed - i thought there was gonna be an actual potato in my bun wtf -_-

reading some magazine from my hotel room and spotted the lovely scha al-yahya

after lazing around i complained about how hungry i am so dad brought us to coffee terrace at maxims genting for a buffet! we've never been here before in spite of us heading to genting every year so i was pretty damned excited. plus - i'm now a big eater, wtf. i'm sure my body will tell you the same.

bakery across from coffee terrace. didn't manage to try this :(

coffee terrace had a variety of various foods to try ranging from local malaysian food to japanese to indian to  desserts! om nom nom. and sorry the pictures kinda look very orange-y!! couldn't fix the lighting so i just edited these the best i could :(

top: spaghetti and chicken chop from the western section
bottom: rice with some very yummy mutton (i think). spicy and good, my favourite of the lot! from the indian section.

top: takoyaki, some squid ball thing, tempura and sushi all from the japanese section.
bottom: my sad attempt at eating healthy. my salad was a fail.

top: mum's kuey tiao with cockles
bottom: little bro's curry laksa (not impressed i must say)

dessert was SO GOOD!
top: macarons, some lemon dessert (i didn't really like this mostly because i don't fancy lemon anything) and strawberry cake
bottom: vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles (which i relegated to my little sister who happily poked her finger in it... and got myself a new one)

went sight-seeing and all that tourist-y fun after eating. here's the view of highlands hotel from maxims genting :) and yes, t'was bloody cold that day.

i am the only idiot who would look up the temperature on google, blatantly believe that it was 30 degrees and wear tights and a skirt to genting highlands. >:( google 1 - me 0

day two coming soon! bye!
