Headed to class as usual on Saturday and since we only had lecture, Germain and I headed to Gardens by the Bay for NHLC! Last year I was there as an intern, so this year I went to see my ex-colleagues and catch up with good teammate-turned-friend ;)
It was too hot to be out :( Doesn't gardens by the bay look something completely out of a freakish alien movie?! Germain and I decided that it looked like something else, but I'm not gonna blog it cos I'm attempting (keyword: attempt) to keep this blog pg.
Pretty much dragged Germain around in the bloody hot sun (I had an umbrella and it is one hell of a great contraption) until we were drenched in our own sweat so we headed to the artscience museum to see the new exhibit.
Around this time, my shoe's heel broke so it was kinda just flapping around as I walked :S So embarrassing cos I walked around MBS all the way to Marina Square with a flapping heel!! #takglam
The new exhibit was pretty damn good, I must say. Germain and I have always been interested in museums and these kinda cool artsy fartsy stuff so the photography exibit was really interesting! And since we did that intro to photography class a few months back, we spent a lot of time just looking at it, actually discussing art. It was pretty interesting to see how our thought process has evolved so much since attending 9 photography classes lol
The boyfriend took me on an impromptu date for certain reasons. And he pretty much saved me from my flapping heeled shoe and got me a lovely pair of tan flats! The poor boy had to witness my tragic looking shoe + me taking off my socks hehehehehe
Such pretty flats! It was such a bitch to break into them though :( I ended up with blisters and my feet hurt at the end of the night. But it was worth it because the night was so lovely!
After my shoe problem was solved he suggested we play some board games but I didn't wanna do anything that required using my brain (don't laugh) so we ended up watching paranormal activity 4. Ok one lah! I was expecting it to be butt scary cos paranormal activity 3 freaked me the hell out but the ending of PA4 was SO STUPID that i wasn't scared anymore!
The boyfriend brought me to Esplanade to just chill. We watched the laser show together for the first time and it was my first time seeing it from the other side too. What a lovely experience. I kid you not when I say all your problems just seem to go away when you're watching the laser show in awe. I've seen it so many times and truth be told, last night was the first time I found it to be breathtaking.
Thereafter we went to the rooftop and it's even more breathtaking from up there! I'm such a wimp cos I'm scared of heights, but really it's so nice up there eventhough I was trying to convince myself I wouldn't die wtf
Ended my Saturday on an extremely good note and I submitted my assignment today! I'm a free person until... soon enough. -_-
D-3 till zoo date!
Blog soon, bye!
